The Help You Need

Therapy Session

INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING

Individual counseling (sometimes called psychotherapy, talk therapy, or treatment) is a process through which clients work one-on-one with a trained mental health clinician in a safe, caring, and confidential environment. Counseling allows individuals to explore their feelings, beliefs, and behaviors, work through challenging or influential memories, identify aspects of their lives that they would like to change, better understand themselves and others, set personal goals, and work toward desired change.

PLAY THERAPY

Child play therapy is a way of being with the child that honors their unique developmental level and looks for ways of helping in the “language” of the child – play. Licensed mental health professionals therapeutically use play to help their clients, most often children ages three to 12 years, to better express themselves and resolve their problems (Association of Play Therapy).

THERAPEUTIC PLAY THERAPY GROUPS

Therapeutic play therapy groups provide a safe environment for children and adolescents to explore emotions and develop coping skills through play. Led by trained therapists, sessions include activities like art, storytelling, and games to encourage expression and improve social skills. Techniques such as narrative therapy and cognitive-behavioral approaches are used to address emotional challenges. Participants often experience increased self-awareness, improved emotional regulation, and greater empowerment. Ultimately, these groups aim to foster emotional healing and resilience in participants, promoting overall well-being
